FAQ

Questions about Skills.

What is a Skill in Hero?
A Skill is a structured template for a sales output, such as a value case, a MEDDPICC review, or a close plan. When a rep invokes it, Hero fills the structure using the context it has on the deal.
What's the difference between a Skill and an artifact?
The Skill is the template and its instructions. The artifact is the finished output Hero produces for a specific deal.
How do reps use Skills?
Type / to open the Skills menu and pick one, or ask in plain language. Each Skill has trigger phrases, so “prep me for the forecast call” produces the same structure as /deal-close-plan.
Which Skills come out of the box?
Value Case, MEDDPICC, Deal Close Plan, Sales Handoff, Stakeholder Overview, Product Feedback, Solution, and Executive Briefing.
Can reps run Skills in Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot?
Yes. Package a template and a Hero prompt as a Skill and share it with your team. Each rep adds the Hero connector and the Skill to their AI assistant, then runs it for a deal. Hero fills in the template from that deal's calls and context.
Are default Skills turned on automatically?
No. Every default ships off until an admin turns it on, so your team only sees the Skills you've approved.
Can we edit Skills or build our own?
Yes. Admins can edit any default or build new Skills from scratch, including the structure and the trigger phrases.
Which plan includes Skills?
Skills come pre-built in Enterprise Hero. Talk to sales to set them up for your team.
